Kevin Hanly has almost 30 years experience with creditor negotiations, foreclosures and bankruptcy. He has been both a corporate lawyer and a trial lawyer. He has worked in both state and federal court. He has handled over 100 foreclosure cases over the years. He knows the law and knows how the system works. Moreover, he works with experts who understand the mortgage process and how borrowers and brokers could take advantage of the average borrower. Most importantly, Kevin Hanly is willing to take on the big firms that the lenders hire to put you out of your house. Kevin Hanly was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was a scholarship student and captain of the swim team at St. Peter’s Prep, graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1973, and received his law degree and MBA in finance from New York University in 1978.
Admitted to practice law in the State and Federal courts of New Jersey, Kevin Hanly is also a member of the Hudson County Bar Association as well as the New Jersey State Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
Hanly practices law in northern New Jersey, especially in Hudson, Bergen and Passaic counties. He was a partner at Milton, Keane & Brady (1984-1991) and Hanly & Ryglicki (1991-2003). After a year as general counsel to the Paterson Public School, Hanly started his own practice with offices in Wyckoff and Edgewater. In addition to his stint as general counsel in Paterson, Hanly has served as a bankruptcy trustee, and as special counsel to the North Bergen Board of Education, the City of Jersey City, and the City of Bayonne.
Kevin Hanly is a member and past president of the Dartmouth Club of Northern New Jersey and a Rotarian. He is married for 31 years and has two sons. As a devoted father and avid sports fan, he has coached baseball in Wyckoff and basketball in Ridgewood.
